EDM Machine Safety

1. The operator can only operate alone after professional training and with the consent of the instructor.
2. All open flames and smoking are prohibited in the operating room, and foam or powder fire extinguishing equipment for extinguishing oil fires should be available.
3. During work, check the machinery, pulse power supply, control knob, display instrument, and exhaust fan, and they should all be kept intact and reliable.
4. When loading and unloading workpieces, positioning, correcting electrodes, and wiping machine tools, the pulse power supply must be cut off.
5. The working liquid level should be kept 50 to 60 mm higher than the surface of the workpiece to prevent the liquid level from being too low and catching fire.
6. It is forbidden to touch the electrode with your hands.
7. Timely eliminate the harmful gases decomposed, and take measures or stop working if the exhaust fan fails.
8. Regularly check and clean the filter in the working fluid tank for iron filings and mud blockage, and check that the working fluid pump is intact, the sound is clear, and the noise is low. Problems should be dealt with in a timely manner.
